Polytech Type 81 Full Build
This Type 81 is a personal build of mine. Many of the parts used were modified from other firearms and custom fitted the rifle.

Winchester 20 Gauge Single Break Barrel
This old Winchester had water damage from many years of duck hunting. The stock and forend needed to be completely stripped, re-stained and a satin finish was applied at the end. The receiver and barrel were also cleaned, surface rust removed and all metal blued.

1932 Mosin Nagant Hex Barrel
This Mosin came to me still coated and filled with cosmoline. It was completely disassembled and cleaned. All bluing was redone on this rifle as it was wearing due to the age. The stock was completely stripped of the original shellac, and refinished with a Tiger stripe pattern and gloss coating.

Polytech Type 81 Wood Refinish
The wood that comes from the factory on these Type 81’s is very soft, and is prone to scratches and dents. Some compare it to Balsa wood. This rifle had all of the wood coated in polyurethane to protect it from any damage. The wood came out with a deeper finish and a glass like appearance. It’s now a conversation piece in the clients collection.

Repaired Butt Stock
The stock on this rifle was cracked where it met the receiver because of inconsistent wood workmanship from the factory. The crack was pinned and glued to keep it held together, while the wood meeting the receiver was reshaped to prevent further cracking during firing.

Savage Over Under
This Savage rifle was a complete restoration with added flare. The trigger guard and forend trim piece were both stripped and polished to a shine. All new bluing on the receiver and barrel, while the stock was stained and coated in polyurethane to protect it for years to come.
